Askenäs Nursing home, Odensbacken

For the residents, staff and visitors of Askenäs nursing home, we have made a series of works that explore the sensual presence and movement of nature, in combination with the blanket as a symbol of caring for and protecting the body, inspired by draperies on classical sculptures.

Part 1 is an outdoor sculpture that invites you to sit and enjoy the forthcoming surroundings of apple trees and greens, alone or with others. As you experience the temperature, humidity and movements in the little garden, you can also feel the textures of the smooth wary surface as well as rough angular sides of the sculpture - a stimulation of your tactile senses - naturally embedded in the artwork.
