Infinity

Infinity is a sculptural flower stalk shaped as the sign of infinity and on it grows simplified leafs and flowers inspired by the three plants; comfrey, vinca rosea and elderflower. All of these flowers are, or where at a certain time thought to be, medicinal plants which ingredients are believed to alleviate and cure diseases. 

The sculpture is a reinterpretation of the classic discipline of ornamentation in ceilings and was build with the techniques used by plasterers. Hanging above an indoor stairway the works points in the direction of the hospitals roof garden.
